Sharing the Gospel One Podcast at a Time
Since surrendering her life to Jesus almost 11 years ago, Matthew 5:16 has become Haggai leader Ilse Johanning’s life’s mission: “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven” (NIV).
One way Ilse is letting her light shine is through her work with Theos Place, a Christian organization where she volunteers.
“This organization helps people to have an even closer relationship with God. I have been able to share the love of Jesus with countless people, as well as equip hundreds of Christian leaders to effectively share the Gospel through small group Bible studies in Costa Rica and in other parts of the world.”
Another way Ilse is allowing others to glorify God with her is through two podcast channels she has created on platforms such as Spotify and YouTube. The latter was dedicated to those affected by the pandemic called Por Aquellos (“For Those”).
With two bachelor’s degrees in advertising and public relations and a master’s in marketing, she is most passionate about getting the Gospel to all corners of the world. After her Haggai Leader Experience in 2019, she set out to marry her life’s greatest passion with the new knowledge she gained through her equipping.
“The impact that our actions can have is enormous. In these times more and more people seek God, in the face of so much uncertainty worldwide. We as Christians have the Good News and we cannot stop sharing it. This is a crucial moment where today more than ever we must be obedient to God’s call in Matthew 28:19-20 where Jesus instructs us to ‘Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you’” (NIV).
