Mark* shares that his Haggai equipping “encouraged me to keep going and made me start [sharing the Gospel] again after taking a break for years.”

In his country of Egypt, where Christians are the minority, Mark found a rejuvenation in his spirit upon returning home from the Haggai Leader Experience (HLE). His ministry focus became evident as he recalls being a nominal Christian, or in “name only,” for so many years.

“Nominal Christians are my basic target because I lived for years like that. As God revived me [at the HLE], I feel it deep in my heart that Jesus is alive and I want to tell others, especially those who are trying to justify themselves or trying to find God’s mercy by doing good works. I want to minister to those whose futile attempts at being a perfect person are making them discouraged and to show them that Jesus looks at our hearts; He knows our weaknesses, and He accepts us as we are. I want to answer questions for those too shy to ask about Jesus’ free gift of salvation and what it means to be justified in Him.”

To share the Good News with more people, Mark is involved in discipling others as well. Ten years ago, he started a discipleship group for youth and saw how it impacted them in a positive way, and he always wanted to do more. After his HLE, Mark was encouraged to start a discipleship group with non-Christians. “It is my passion to start discipleship groups so that others can learn how to share the Good News, which means a lot more will come to know Jesus as their Savior.”

He has also begun a group for blind people. “They are very smart people, and their lives are so full with emotions and God’s beauty, that it is important for them to see how much God loves them.”
