Fingerprints of Purpose: A Global Celebration
Where do we leave our fingerprints? Every day, we influence the world around us—within our families, communities, workplaces, and places of worship. No two marks are the same. Each of us has a distinct role to play, shaping lives in ways that ripple far beyond what we can see.
On the evening of Saturday, March 1, 2025, Haggai International hosted Fingerprints of Purpose: A Night with Haggai International—a gathering that honored the profound, eternal impact of Haggai leaders and those who support this mission. This was not just an evening of reflection. It was a celebration of lives changed, communities transformed, and the fingerprints of faith left across the globe.
The night began with immersive experiences designed to bring attendees deeper into the heart of Haggai’s mission. In HLE:101, Dr. Arthur Dhanaraj, Haggai’s chief learning officer, provided a high-level introduction to the Haggai Leader Experience (HLE). This session illuminated the transformative journey leaders undergo, whether they participate in English, Arabic, or Mandarin.
Attendees also engaged in two powerful prayer experiences:
- Pray With Me, a virtual audio journey where participants prayed alongside Haggai leaders worldwide, lifting up their mission work within unique cultural contexts.
- Pray For Me, an opportunity to send messages of encouragement and intercession for future HLE participants.
As the evening unfolded, powerful testimonies filled the room—real stories of Haggai leaders reshaping their nations.
Magda Odendaal from South Africa spoke passionately about The Haggai Difference—the shift in perspective that ignited her calling to share the Gospel and equip others to do the same. She described how attending the Haggai Leader Experience opened her eyes to the vast opportunities for bringing hope and restoration to people in need.
Mary Joy Kimani of Kenya shared how God called her to be a witness through her leadership role at SAP, one of the world’s largest technology companies. When SAP sought support for its East Africa region, they turned to Mary Joy—not just for her expertise, but because of the integrity and grace she carried. “Do you still go to church?” they asked her, recognizing the quiet yet powerful influence of her faith. This role has given her a unique platform—to lead with Christian values and to reach others with the message of Christ. Her passion extends to the next generation, ensuring that young leaders are prepared to integrate their faith into their work and lives.
Dr. Wafik Shehata, a laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon in Kuwait, spoke about the intersection of faith and medicine. In moments of fear and uncertainty, he uses his position to offer peace and hope to his patients and colleagues. More than that, he is part of a growing network of Haggai leaders across the Middle East, fostering Christian community in a region where such connections are not always possible.
It was a night of stories, faith, and purpose. Here’s a glimpse inside:
At Haggai International, we believe our fingerprints matter. Our vision is clear: Every nation redeemed and transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But this vision is not achieved alone. It requires the collective impact of many—leaders, partners, and supporters who leave lasting marks on the world.
If you feel called to be part of this mission, we invite you to leave your mark.
