Dr. Joey Chuaunsu
Executive Director of Equipping

Dr. Joey Chuaunsu is Executive Director of Equipping at Haggai International. He is responsible for ensuring that the Haggai Leader Experience (HLE) is run in accordance with the Haggai vision, with established curriculum and excellence that is characteristic of the organization.
Joey has a valuable and long history with Haggai. He completed his HLE in 2005 at the Mid-Pacific Center in Hawaii. In 2007, he joined Haggai as an international facilitator and began serving in various capacities on the Equipping Team in 2009, including as Director of Training and Director of Leader Relations.
Before Haggai, Joey was a practicing pediatrician in the Philippines for 16 years and worked in the corporate sector. Part of his role included managing people, supervising training, and working with systems.
He has been serving the Lord for over 45 years. Aside from preaching and serving in various church leadership roles, Joey was involved as a leader in worship and small group ministry among the youth and couples, as well as in Sunday school and family ministry. Topics close to his heart are marriage, parenting, leadership, and discipleship.
Joey and his wife, Gertrude, have four children — while Marcus is based in Florida, Gianna, Jaci, and Jeune live with them in Atlanta, Georgia.
