We are sad because the world became poorer without Dr. John Edmund Haggai. But what a rich and amazing legacy he left behind for the glory of Jesus Christ!!! I praise the Lord for the privilege of being part of what God put in his heart as a lifetime calling!

A great selfless servant of God engaged with God and His Mission with a conviction and passion that continues to effect life change in persons like myself to better pursue the mission on addressing Gospel poverty.

By faith, Dr. John Edmund Haggai “attempted to do something so big and extraordinary for God that it would have been doomed to failure unless God himself had been in it” and He certainly was. And through Dr. Haggai’s initiative, Haggai International has managed to equip over 123,000 strategically positioned leaders of 189 nations to more wisely and effectively fulfill the Great Commission. Now, he rests in peace, but “his works will follow him”.

Dear John,

The Lord bless your soul a million times. As the host of heaven accompanied you on your journey homeward, I am sure there was a voice waiting to welcome you with those treasured words, well done, thy good and faithful steward, enter into My rest.

I pledge to continue to ATTEMPT SOMETHING SO GREAT FOR GOD IT IS DOOMED TO FAILURE EXCEPT GOD BE IN IT. From those words of yours, I have since adapted mine: It is futile to say it will not be done until I discover it cannot be done. We, the Haggai family and all your family, are the remnants of your efforts and by His grace, our generations hereafter will live to tell the Haggai story.
