Kenia Santana is gifted at communicating. She’s well known in Chile for her appearances on TV and the radio and is a highly regarded professor at the local university. But despite being loved on the air, it was hard to find the same connection when it came to sharing the Good News. She found inspiration from the students in her classroom; and by tapping into her desire to answer God’s call with her professional talent, she was able to trend toward Jesus.
“I started making daily devotionals written and produced with audio and video that was originally only broadcast on social media, specifically on WhatsApp, TikTok, and Instagram,” said Santana. “I tried to get support for the production, but I did not receive it, because the people I approached didn’t consider TikTok a very serious medium. I insisted on doing it there because I saw the projection of growth and the need for the Gospel to be present in that network, according to the vision that God had given me, so I started doing them with the few resources available.”
Persistence in answering God’s call yielded great results. Today, radio stations from the U.S. to Chile are broadcasting her devotionals daily. And she’s been able to equip others to use social media and communications platforms to share the Gospel. She worked with Dr. Alfonsa de la Rosa in the Dominican Republic to create a medical advice page that also offered reading on the miracles that science cannot explain. In Miami, Manny Tejeda created a radio station to tell people about Jesus. And there are more.
According to Santana, each story is a testimony to the power of God, and the healings, conversions, and present-day miracles that come out of them are what she values most.
“We have made prayer groups for the needs that people manifest through this media,” she said. “Many have recognized Jesus and started reading the Bible and attending churches. I thank God that the free time the pandemic has given me has driven this project that I have wanted to do for a long time.
“Many of the people that God has allowed me to know have given me beautiful testimonies of how God has guided them to use the media to reach others, and that encourages me to continue, sharing the passion for the communication of the Gospel in the mass media.”

How much joy it gives me to know of your work to present Christ in social media. I encourage you to continue sowing and caring for your spiritual life, so that God continues to give you more to continue sharing. maybe we will never really know how many lives God touched through your posts, let’s just trust that the word will never return to God without having done the work for which it was sent.. Blessings.
