Waiting Well During Advent
That first Christmas was a time of great anticipation as everyone waited for the coming of the Messiah. There was hope and expectation that He would come and save His people. Today, we know that Messiah, Jesus, has come to save all mankind. Today, we await his second coming.
To my fellow Haggai leaders: as we wait, we are called to continue God’s mission to seek and save the lost, to heal the broken-hearted, to set the captives free — to end Gospel Poverty. We are to be His witnesses, telling people about Him, to the ends of the Earth. We are to make disciples, followers of Yeshua, of all peoples, teaching that all He has commanded. Like the five faithful virgins who kept their lamps filled with oil, we are not to simply wait; we are to wait well.
