DR. TYLER LENOCKER

VICE PRESIDENT OF GLOBAL RESEARCH

Dr. Tyler Lenocker is the Vice President of Global Research at Haggai International. In this role, he undertakes research projects, studies global trends, and provides theological leadership to inform and empower the strategy, processes, and programs of Haggai throughout the world.

His research and writing focus on the impact of urbanization and migration on the world Christian movement from the 20th century to present day. Tyler has written book chapters on global mission and mission history and has written for the World Christian Encyclopedia, the International Bulletin of Mission Research, the Religious Studies Review, and the Edinburgh Companions to Global Christianity series by Edinburgh University Press. His forthcoming book with New York University Press is titled Evangelicals in the City: Migration and World Christianity in Boston, 1960-2000. Tyler also serves as a visiting researcher at Boston University in its Center for Global Christianity and Mission and as an adjunct professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has his Ph.D. from Boston University, School of Theology, and his M.Div. and M.A. in Church History from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Along with his academic background, Tyler worked in cross-cultural ministry in Madrid, Spain, and has served in numerous pastoral and preaching roles in the United States.

He and his wife, Julie, have three daughters. They live in Hamilton, Massachusetts, on Boston’s North Shore.
