LAURA ABERNATHY
Laura Abernathy and her husband, Robert, have been devoted supporters of Haggai International for over 25 years. Their daughter, Elizabeth, had the opportunity to serve as a summer intern at the Haggai International Mid-Pacific Center during her college years, further strengthening the family’s connection to the mission.
The Abernathys reside in both Atlanta, Georgia, and Neenah, Wisconsin, and Laura is an active leader in both community and global Christian organizations. She currently serves on the National Leadership Council for World Vision and co-chairs their Mother and Child Initiative, demonstrating her commitment to empowering families around the world.
Throughout their life together, Laura and Robert have lived in various locations across the U.S. and overseas due to Robert’s work with Kimberly-Clark and, more recently, Halyard Health.
Laura has a strong background in biology and nursing, applying her skills both professionally and philanthropically to make a positive impact. She is also an ordained deacon and a committed member of The Church at Wieuca.
The Abernathys are blessed with two grown, married children, three granddaughters, and two grandsons, and they continue to be passionate about serving others and supporting Christian ministries globally.
Laura has served on the Haggai Board of Trustees since 2016.
