JOHN GRAMLING, III
John Gramling, III is the Founder and Managing Partner of New Canaan Impact Capital, a Kingdom-focused activist investment firm. His work centers on identifying high-impact opportunities that not only aim to deliver exceptional financial returns but also create lasting value in the lives of others. In addition, John serves as a Managing Director with Carolina Financial Group, an investment banking firm that partners with private companies to structure and offer private securities for growth capital, debt facilities, and other project-specific funding needs.
John’s foundation in agriculture stems from his family’s legacy—a more than 100-year-old agricultural enterprise involved in owning and managing farmland, equipment dealerships, and manufacturing facilities. Building on this heritage, he founded and successfully exited both Gramling Brothers Contracting and Gramling Equipment Company, creating a multi-million-dollar heavy highway construction business known for its expertise in complex projects and challenging schedules.
A graduate of The Citadel, John earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army, completing the U.S. Army Infantry School and earning Airborne qualification.
With a combination of entrepreneurial vision, financial expertise, and a commitment to faith-driven leadership, John continues to inspire and impact both his industry and community.
He is an active member of Gramling United Methodist Church, where he has served in various leadership roles, including Trustee, Administrative Council member, Sunday School Teacher, and Lay Leader.
John is married to Laura Nash Gramling and together, they have two children, Anna and Jake.
John has served on the Haggai Board of Trustees since 2022.
